The Refugee Integration Yorkshire and Humber project is looking for people who are interested in becoming peer researchers.
Peer research is conducted by people who have lived experience of the topic that is being researched. In this case that means that you will have experience of being a refugee in the UK. This research project aims to understand what is important for people with experience of being refugees and what helps them to feel comfortable and welcome in their new communities. As part of your role, you will do interviews, and your work will become part of a published report.
You will be working closely with and supported by researchers from Migration Yorkshire and the University of Salford.
This is a part-time, temporary and paid role, which will require commitment to working approximately 50 hours over a period of 4 months. [Rate of pay not mentioned in advertisement]
Interview date is scheduled for 22 May 2019.
