Are you passionate about improving the asylum system, integrating refugees and migrants, and working collaboratively to achieve change? Migration Yorkshire is looking for someone who has the experience and skills to work sensitively to support a range of organisations to improve the lives of migrants and local communities.
In this post, you’ll be supporting local authorities and other key partners in their work on migration locally and at sub-regional and regional levels. You’ll provide high quality information, deliver training and facilitate discussions across a range of strategic and operational issues, including integration, cohesion and asylum dispersal.
You’ll have a detailed knowledge of migration and be experienced in providing information and support on the issue to others. You’ll be a skilled and confident communicator both in writing and in person, and as comfortable with government departments as you are with refugee community organisations.
This is a full-time, permanent post with Migration Yorkshire; we are hosted by Leeds City Council. For more information and details of how to apply, go to: https://jobs.leeds.gov.uk/migration-yorkshire-communities-environment-integration-partnerships-officer/29533.job
