Job: Caseworker Coordinator Post at Refugee Council, FT to 31/03/21 £25,991 – Deadline 30th Nov 20

The role of Casework Coordinator connected to the England wide, Refugee Council Infoline.

The Infoline launched on 1st October 2020 to respond to changing needs and service provision for refugees and asylum seekers, in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Infoline receives enquiries relating to matters as diverse as immigration, overcoming destitution and meeting essential needs; housing and homelessness; health; welfare support; education, training and employment; and more. The referral pathway for this service is via the Infoline.

We are seeking a full time Casework Coordinator who is able to start with short notice. The post holder will work remotely, and will join an existing Casework Coordinator who works part time. This role will help increase our capacity to respond to urgent needs during the pandemic and will focus on cases where there is limited local specialist support for refugees and people seeking asylum across England, such as Grimsby and Rotherham in Yorkshire and Humberside, and other areas with new asylum support accommodation.

The Casework Coordinator will work closely with others to ensure we effectively manage and support our caseload of clients and run an effective advice, information and advocacy service, focusing on the key issues of homelessness prevention, destitution and accessing healthcare and legal advice. This role will take responsibility for the progression of its own caseload.

Closing Date: 30th November 2020
Location: Remote
Salary: £25,991 – £33,474
