Partnering with the CIOL, the UN Agency International Organisation for Migration (IOM) is offering an introductory webinar for professional linguists working with refugees.
Using information and learnings from field work across the world, this session looks at the impact of refugee journeys and cultures of origin. It discusses how this may affect refugee expectations and behaviours, in their relationships with language intermediaries, officials and other UK residents.
After this event, the IOM can offer further customised subject/country or language specific workshops or webinars, on request.
The attached leaflet describes the work of the IOM.
