ESOL Manager for Leeds City Council, £37k – £40k – funded by Controlling Migration Fund

It seems an announcement of the new Leeds City Council ESOL project is getting closer by the day: LCC are advertising for someone to manage the project.

“Leeds City Council have recently been successful in securing grant funding from the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government Controlling Migration Fund to develop and deliver the Learning English in Leeds Project.

We are looking to recruit an ESOL Manager who will take the lead on developing a city wide approach to Learning English and English for Speakers of other languages (ESOL) provision to help to develop an understanding of what is the current supply versus demand and identifying gaps and solutions to deal with these appropriately.  This will also include the development and delivery of a Learning English Strategy for the City and the Language Hub Project.”

You can find more details on the LCC jobs website https://jobs.leeds.gov.uk/management-esol-manager/28181.job

The timing is very tight – closing date is 13th June

Previous Council projects funded by the Controlling Migration Fund include the MAP Plus Project and Local Authority Asylum Support Liaison Officers
