STEP Forward is a targeted programme for refugee women encompassing ESOL, literacy, numeracy, digital literacy, financial literacy, volunteering, mentorship, wellbeing and women-led sessions.
The programme is designed to specifically address the needs of refugee women and overcome barriers to learning and integration. Classes take place during school-term time and childcare and transport costs are covered. Women also receive a laptop which will be theirs to keep if they complete the programme.
The programme is open to women with refugee status and Entry Level 2 English or lower. The classes take place from 10am-1pm on either Mondays and Wednesdays (Pre-Entry to Entry Level 1) or Tuesdays and Thursdays (Entry Level 1 to Entry Level 2).
