An exploratory workshop to develop a strategy for developing basic digital skills with ESOL learners in Leeds.

100% Digital Leeds understand the barriers to digital inclusion that ESOL learners face; in addition to the language barrier there are often many other obstacles to successful integration.  We are aware that this is a problem for all organisations who work to digitally upskill ESOL learners, and we hope we can work together to find a solution.

We will be joined by Alan Parker from Three, who has recently developed a similar approach for Islington. Andy will share his learning and some of the practical approaches he has developed to support the digital inclusion of ESOL learners, much of which will be replicable in Leeds. We aim to come away from the session with a plan that we can implement with partners across the city.

If you’re part of an organisation that supports ESOL learners, understand the need for your service users to develop their digital skills but find it difficult to offer the right support, and would like to come together to find a solution, please join us.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
