Consultation on NHS Urgent Care Centres – make sure that migrant voices get heard

The local NHS proposes to build five new Urgent Care Centres around Leeds (to try and take the pressure off A&E departments). The idea is that the centres will act as walk-in services to treat minor injuries.

We currently already know how important the Burmantofts Walk in Centre in Lincoln Green is to asylum seekers and refugees in Leeds.  After the entry on Home Office/Waterside Court, it’s the most looked-at page on helpinleeds.com

Plus, those of you with long memories might remember Leeds has tried this sort of thing before, with some success.

So if anyone you know has views or opinions on this development – you can complete the survey here.
