There’s loads of community Iftars happening this year – and you may wish to spread the word about them.
The Moltaka is a network of middle eastern families based in Leeds who establish safe spaces for individuals of all sects, faiths and none, to share culture and food, fund-raise for various agreed upon charity projects and foster honest dialogue and faith inspired social action. Moltaka members are opening tier homes for all to come and enjoy conversation, break fast with Arabic/Persian treats and observe different forms of Muslim reflection and prayer. This Ramadan we will be hosting Iftaar nights each Saturday in Ramadan:

The Leeds Muslim Youth Forum is an organisation ran by young Muslims within Leeds aged between 18-25 striving to provide opportunities and events for all this Ramadan. We will be hosting a series of Iftaars’ with guest speakers and plenty of food,fun and networking.

Taste Ramadan @The Iqra centre community Iftaar: Come along to find out what goes on inside a mosque with a tour of your local Ukim Centre along with the opportunity to network with local Muslims and enjoy a tasty community meal. There will also be opportunity to observe the evening prayer and meet an imam and share in honest, wholesome conversation;

The Hyde Park Interfaith Iftaar – Leeds Muslim Youth Group and All-Hallows Church are proud to announce ‘Hyde Park Unity Iftars’ Join us for this Ramadan for Christian Muslim Dialogue, Interfaith Horticulture (Courtesy of ‘Hyde Park in Bloom’) and Unity Iftars (Supported by ‘Love Muhammad’). We are proud to have Sheikh Muhammad Amin Evans (Director of Theology – Association of British Muslims) and Rev’d Heston Groenewald (Vicar – All Hallows Church) guide us through scriptural reasoning around the topic of ‘God’s Plan for the world’.
