A lunchtime briefing/workshop hosted by Leeds Migration Partnership & Leeds Asylum Seekers Support Network
12:00 – 14:30 Tuesday 19th July at Ebor Court, Skinner Street, Leeds
Recent reports suggest that in the run up to (and aftermath of) the EU referendum, hate crime and racist behaviour are on the increase.
Come along to discuss
- Is hate crime and xenophobia on the increase in Leeds? – we’ll bring you up to speed on what’s actually happening, and how the police and others are responding to this.
- The most effective support your group/organisation can give to the people you work with (clients, volunteers and staff alike) – sharing practical experiences of what works, and what is most effective
- How we can take a strategic approach to challenging racism, promote the benefits of a diverse and multi-ethnic city, and to seek allies in promoting this agenda
The first half hour will be lunch – bring your own and have a talk to other like-minded folk.
The meeting proper will kick off at 12.30pm
We look forward to seeing you then
