With the planned retirement of our Chair, we are seeking someone to lead our board of capable and experienced Trustees. This person will have senior leadership experience, ideally in the housing and/or refugee environment, the inspiration and ability to lead our charity strategically and be able to build relationships with external stakeholders.
Our Refugee Housing Project in Leeds provides temporary accommodation for new refugees to help bridge the gap between Home Office support and a successful application for social housing.
Our Destitution Project in Bradford provides temporary housing and support to asylum seekers whose asylum application has been refused and who are destitute, but who are actively working towards submitting fresh asylum claims.
The charity is financially healthy and has excellent and harmonious teams of very committed staff and volunteers. The directors are currently actively working towards the creation of a CEO role.
