A Message from Home Office to people offering help with the Afghan Emergency – 25th August 2021

A message from Julie Curle at Immigration Enforcement

As our staff continue to work around the clock to support the efforts to bring British and Afghan nationals to the UK, business areas are heartened by the emails we have received from teams and individuals looking to offer support.

People wanting to offer help to refugees who have come to the UK can do so through the ‘Help Refugees UK’ service on GOV.UK. The Home Office will pass on any offer of help, no matter how small it may seem.

With reference to the current situation in Afghanistan you may find the link here of use Support for British and non-British nationals in Afghanistan – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk).  This gives details of prioritised groups and contact numbers for British and Non British Nationals.

There are some contacts for Consulate staff overseas that you can give to anyone who may find useful.
